Features
What We Produce
We have always been concerned about the quality of our food and keeping our food free of pesticides and other harmful products. We had a very large garden that has shrunk over the years and multiple fruit trees. In 2018, we decided to raise beef cattle and have been raising young heifers ever since. We have raised different typed of cattle, but usually we raise Black Angus heifers from approximately 6 months old to a year old. We eat most of what we grow, but in surplus years, we sell fruit. We also sell our beef each year. We also give some to food assistance programs.
We sell our beef all year round until we run out. The cows are butchered in Moriarity and the butcher is UDSA certified. The beef is aged for three weeks and then individual cuts are vacuum sealed, labeled and frozen. We only raise two heifers each year so that the property is not over-grazed, but that means we sell out of certain popular cuts very quickly. And of course, we eat our own beef, give some away and share with friends. Most years we have an abundance of golden delicious apples, so we bake them, dry them, juice them, give them to our cows, and give lots away!
We sell by word of mouth only. You can get on our mailing list by emailing us at SpeakOutNow@msn.com.
Expanding our clientele.
We are not certified organic, but we never use pesticides or chemicals on our food. Our beef sources also promise us they have not used growth hormones or any controversial feed, and we feed our cows grass, alfalfa, and cow cubes (their treat!) only. We do not use growth hormones or any other food additive. We are all natural, grass fed, free range, and local!
